Health Equity Alliance (HEAL) is excited to announce an upcoming medical and surgical outreach mission to Lira, Northern Uganda. We invite healthcare professionals and volunteers who are passionate about serving underserved communities to join us on this life-changing mission.
The local team has identified several critical healthcare needs, and we are looking to mobilize a multidisciplinary team of volunteers.
Urgently Needed
We are seeking:
- 1 Anaesthetist
- 2 Gynaecologists
- 2 General Surgeons
- 1 Paediatric Surgeon
- 1 ENT Specialist
- 1 Sonographer/Radiologist
- 1 Physician

Mission Programme (Tentative)
20–21 November 2026
- International travel and arrival of team members in Uganda
22 November 2026
- Travel to Lira
- Team orientation
- Briefing with CCMC leadership and local stakeholders
- Preparation of clinical and surgical facilities
23 November – 3 December 2026
Medical and Surgical Outreach
- Daily outpatient consultations
- Surgical procedures
- Ward rounds
- Follow-up care
- Training and capacity-building sessions for local healthcare workers
Community outreach activities, including support to selected rural communities in Kwania District where feasible
December 4, 2026
- Completion of medical activities
- Departure for leisure and cultural program
Afternoon
- Arrival at Murchison Falls National Park
- Evening sunset game drive
December 5, 2026
- Early morning safari and sightseeing
- Team fellowship and mission debrief
December 6, 2026
- Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe
- Departure of international team members
Cost
USD $1,000 per person
