Dr Michael Burke MBBS, MPH& TM, MSc (Clin Epi), PhD, FRACGP currently is an Associate Professor at KIlimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC). He lectures in public health, geriatrics and family medicine. He has lived in Tanzania for fourteen years involved in clinical, program, policy and research work. He for many years has been the executive officer of HealthServe Australia, now known as HealthServe Global. Michael is engaged in many International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA) activities. He is keen to see HEAL grow and provide important support to many communities. He is married to Jean, a social worker and has three adult sons.

Dr Colin Pfaff
Colin is a family medicine and public health doctor from South Africa. After 8 years in a rural hospital in South Africa, he spent two years in medical mission work in Nepal and later 10 years in Malawi working with HIV and TB programs. He is currently the associate director of programs for Southern Africa for the NCDI poverty network, which seeks to establish clinics for patients with advanced NCDs in district hospitals in low and middle income countries.

Dr. Mampho Junia Mochaoa Rogers is a dedicated family physician with nearly two decades of experience in rural medicine. Her career has been marked by a passionate commitment to advocating for equitable healthcare services, with a particular focus on serving rural and disadvantaged populations globally. Mampho is especially dedicated to improving healthcare access for women and children, recognizing the unique challenges these groups face. She is the recipient of the Discovery Foundation Award for the Rural Individual category for working on Eradication of malnutrition deaths among children < 5 years of age in the Okhahlamba subdistrict in South Africa using the COPC (Community Oriented Primary Care) model.
This innovative approach integrates community-based health initiatives with primary care services, aiming to enhance the overall wellbeing of the community through preventive and holistic health measures.
Throughout her career, Mampho has consistently championed the need for a just and fair distribution of healthcare resources, believing that everyone, regardless of their geographic location or socio-economic status, deserves access to quality health services.
With a deep understanding of the complexities of rural and remote healthcare, Mampho brings invaluable insights and expertise to the HEAL team. Biography
David is a volunteer with the Christian Medical Fellowship and is the editor of the magazine Triple Helix. As editor he commissions writers and with other members of the team, edits articles prior to publication.
David is married to Maggie and has 4 grown up children and 8 grandchildren.
Academically, David is a Visiting Professor at the University of Greenwich and has published papers (140 publications) in the field of Ethics, Swallowing, Dysphagia, Frailty and Stroke.
Clinically, David is a consultant physician in Older People’s Medicine (Geriatrics/ Frailty) at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in South East London.
David is the editor of Triple Helix, the magazine of the Christian Medical Fellowship UK and the European Regional Secretary for the International Christian Medical and dental Fellowship.

Prof Daniel Ojuka MBChB, MMed Surgery, FACS, PhD currently is an Associate Professor and Chairman at University of Nairobi Department of surgery. Daniel is engaged in many International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA) activities. He is keen to see HEAL grow and provide important support to many communities. He is married to Lydia , a gynaecologist and director of quality at the Kenyatta National Hospital and has four children.
Dr Augustin Lutakwa
Augustin was born in the DR Congo and trained as a General Surgeon in South Africa where he now lives and works. He serves as an Associate Executive Officer (AEO) for ICMDA Sub-Saharan Africa, where he promotes the mission, vision and core values of ICMDA among students and junior graduates. He was also the Congress Director for the 17th ICMDA World Congress held in Arusha, Tanzania in 2023.
